Packaging

We are honouring the world’s best in commercial design excellence for graphic and structural packaging design for consumer branded products in all categories and industries.

Deliverables may include minor refinements, total redesigns or new creations through the medium of brand, graphic and structural packaging design. Entry submissions can be a single product, a small range of products or an entire family of branded products for multiple categories and markets.

You can enter one or multiple sub categories for each piece of work for the awards, place your work into categories where you believe your work excels.


 
 

Packaging Design Creation (PK201)
The crafting of commercial packaging design and visual identity for new branded products from scratch. This may include packaging presented individually or collectively as part of a small range of products or an entire family of branded products


Packaging Redesign (PK202)
A comprehensive visual overhaul of existing commercial packaging design, resulting in a substantially new visual look and presentation of the brand. This may include packaging presented individually or collectively as part of a small range of products or an entire family of branded products. The submission should show the previous design, so judges can compare the changes that have been made for the redesign.


Packaging Design Refinement (PK203)
Refining and updating existing commercial packaging design for fresher and subtly improved visuality and presentation of existing branded products. This may include packaging presented individually or collectively as part of a small range of products or an entire family of branded products. The submission should show the previous design, so judges can compare the changes that have been made for the design refinement.


Structural Packaging Design (PK204)
Placing focus on the structural qualities of commercial packaging with consideration about functionality, uniqueness, visual standout and/or innovation. This may include packaging presented individually or collectively as part of a small range of products or an entire family of branded products.


Sustainable Packaging Design (PK205)
A sustainable focus on commercial packaging design by where creating a consumer product goes hand in hand with doing as little harm to the environment, considering its impact and overall ecological footprint. This may include packaging presented individually or collectively as part of a small range of products or an entire family of branded products.


Packaging Design Innovation (PK206)
Product-packaging innovation that enables applications of better solutions; that meet new requirements, unarticulated needs of existing or future market needs. The kind of product that provides a unique consumer experience and influences consumer behaviour for the better. This may include packaging presented individually or collectively as part of a small range of products or an entire family of branded products.


Other Packaging Design (PK207)
Other packaging design project submissions that don’t fit into the above sub categories should be submitted through this category with clear communication of deliverables.
