Student Design Awards

The World Brand Design Society Student Design Awards presents the following awards for conceptual Student creative works for individuals and teams:

WBDS Student of the Year Award
WBDS Best Student Work of the Year Award

WBDS Student Black Award
WBDS Student Gold Award
WBDS Student Silver Award
WBDS Student Bronze Award
WBDS Student Shortlisted Award


Nomination/Nominee

All selected student works are first nominated in December and are given the title nominee by WBDS Editors and External Judges. It is here where External Judges make their final decisions of what work will receive an award. Student Black, Gold, Silver, Bronze or Shortlist Awards will be published in January via the WBDS social media channels.

The title 'WBDS Student Nominee' is not an award that receives a certificate or a trophy. Still, the nomination is a form of recognition as a notable creative work that has been selected by the World Brand Design Society and its External Judges. A student may enter the title of World Brand Design Society Awards Student Nominee to a list of achievements or curriculum vitae.


Global Education Institution Ranking

In addition to its nominal value, each award carries points toward the World Brand Design Society’s Global Education Institution Ranking league tables. Institutions with the greatest amount of student with awards/points will help their Institution be honoured with the prestigious awards of World Brand Design Society – Education Institution of the Year Award.

The World Brand Design Society will grant awards points to the education institution that have best-demonstrated excellence in the field of design, measured by the accumulation of points annually. These points will be reflected in the following ranking here: World Brand Design Society – Global Design Education Institution Ranking.
